Primary Teachers Training Institute (PTI), Khagrachari was established in 2017. PTI is located in Mahalchara of Golabari Union of Khagrachari District. The total land area in this PTI is 1.5 acres. After the establishment of PTI, the teachers of Khagrachari district have received training in this PTI. At present, the catchment area of PTI is 09 upazilas of Khagrachari district. PTIT is located in Monorom environment. PTI has been playing a significant role in the cultural arena in PTI world. The Diploma-in-Primary Education (DPED) course was started in PTI from 2017 and ended in 2022 and the 10-month revised DPED (Basic Training for Primary Teachers-BTPT) is ongoing from 2024.
